Search Engine Placement and Optimization



G2 is highly skilled in the art of search engine placement (and yes, it truly is an art.) Unless otherwise specified, G2 always does its best to build every page to be search engine friendly. All the common elements (such as META data) are used and a few extra 'tricks' that are less known are also incorporated into our work to achieve the highest possible rankings. However, it is important to realize several things. No one, including G2, can guarantee a top 10 placement (without paying for it). In fact, such a placement is highly unusual. It is also important to realize that many of the things that make a web site rank highly are out of G2's hands. For instance, one of the best things anyone can do for their website is to have other related web sites link to it. Different industries and different key word phrases also have varying degrees of difficulty in terms of getting good rankings ("Travel" is a very common term and very difficult to get a high ranking for. However, "travel Antarctica" is not such a common search term, so it would be easier to achieve better rankings for such a term.) Also, search engines are always updating their requirements and algorithms for their ranking process. As such what may be good for rankings this week may hurt a site's rankings a month from now. Maintaining a high ranking is a full time job. It requires constant tuning and tweaking of the web site content as well as ongoing submissions to the major search engines. G2 will do its best to optimize the web site to get high rankings. But G2 cannot promise any kind of results. Please set your expectations realistically. Know that while we do perform search engine optimization, there is more that can be done to drive traffic to your website.
