A Note About Website Content

Content is to be provided (both copy and graphics) by the client. G2 is not responsible for content creation, editing, or proofing. We will certainly advise you on your content and will give you suggestions, tips, ideas, etc. But content creation is ultimately up to you, the client. G2 will consult with what 'type' of content is needed and in what manner it should be written. But it is the client's responsibility to actually write, revise, and proof it. Copy is preferred in standard HTML format; however, plain text and MS Word documents are acceptable. Hard (printed or faxed) and PDF file copy is not acceptable (unless for direct PDF file download on the web site).

All images must be supplied in digital format. G2 can scan 'normal' pictures for a nominal fee. Graphic design and editing is very time consuming. If you need an illustration created or need a specific picture, it should be included in the deliverables area earlier in this proposal. The bottom line is that we will do everything we can to accommodate you. But ultimately, graphics and illustrations are considered content and are up to you to provide.

G2 asks that content is supplied once, and only once. Formatting content is very tedious and requires a lot of time. The fees for this project are based on the assumption that the content formatting process will only have to happen once. It is not a problem to make minor text edits after the content has initially been submitted; however, we ask that such edits are made by instruction and not by resubmission of the original documents. It is also preferable to have all the content supplied prior to production (though this is not a requirement.) Not only does it make production more efficient, but it allows everyone to have a better grasp of everything involved. The more information that is available and ready prior to production, the more smoothly production will go (and typically the more effective the work product will be.) It is important that you produce the content for your site in a timely fashion. Often the biggest hang-up of a project is waiting for content. If a project is completely done except for content, G2 may call the project 'complete' and bill you for it with the understanding that we will gladly insert the content later (for no additional fee.)
